Hey! I’m Aman, a senior at Tufts University with a double concentration in Cognitive + Brain Science and Computer Science.

While I have a variety of interests, many of them stem from the intersection of technology and society, in particular, how technology can be universally designed so that the needs of all people are met. As part of my aim to gain an interdisciplinary skillset, I’ve contributed to a variety of research projects as well as worked at Nokia in Software QA and at EBSCO Information Services in Product Management. While research has taught me how to advance the state-of-the-art, industry experience has helped me learn how state-of-the-art technology is used to build products that actually meet market needs.

Through my research projects and publications, I’ve explored many facets of human-computer interaction. In particular, I’m curious about user safety and empowerment, whether use of AI tools in work contexts or appropriate handling of data related to intimate areas of our lives such as dating or grief. With my experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods, I hope to continue learning about the impacts of technology in our lives and how interfaces can better promote user empowerment.
